Pass the Praxis Spanish 5195 โ without taking it twice to figure out how it works.
My name is Zaya โ a K-12 teacher who failed the Praxis Spanish 5195 by 4 points, prepped differently, and passed by 11 the second time. I built Praxis Spanish Help so you only have to take this exam once.ย I'll show you how.

Meet Gabby, a Spanish teacher in Virginia and my very first coaching client.
Gabby is a native Spanish speaker. Rated her own Spanish a 1 out of 10 on rustiness. Spanish is her first language.
She had taken the Praxis 5195 five times over seven years. Every attempt: below Virginia's 168 cut score. She plateaued at 166 โ three times in a row.

My Praxis story
I took the Praxis 5195 for the first time NOT expecting to pass.
I sat for it as a diagnostic โ to see where I stood before serious prep.
Attempt 1: 159. Colorado's cut score: 163. I missed by 4 points.
That score encouraged me. Being 4 points from passing on a minimally-prepped attempt told me two things:
โธ Your Spanish doesn't have to be native-like to pass this test.
โธ This test is passable with strategy, not fluency.
10 weeks of focused prep later, I retook it. Scored 174 โ passed by 11.
Cultural Knowledge went from 5/12 to 12/12. Reading from 13/25 to 21/25.
Both jumps came from strategy. Not more Spanish.
